Pets are great companions. Dogs are definitely high maintenance, but will shower you with love and drool every chance they get. Like being ignored? You must be a cat person.

No matter your preference, you want your pets well taken care of when you leave town. Especially if you plan on traveling during the holidays.

To make my life easier, I decided to create pet care cards. That way, they are sitting in a drawer in my kitchen and easily accessible at all times. Very important if my neighbor’s daughter can’t walk Rufus and my sister has to come over.

Why did I preprint them? In this age of technology created to make life easier, I find myself even shorter on time. While I keep repeating “Marie Curie and Albert Einstein only had 24 hours in a day,” it’s not  helping. Sure, I could stop watching a few hours of TV per week, but I’m not giving up Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. Sorry.

So, I created a great card, using Picaboo’s “Make My Own Design” cards. I opened up the blank flat card, added an image I found from Dreamstime for free, a few caption boxes with instructions and I was done! I threw in some special instructions, because my slippers have been dessert on more than one occasion.
