The school year is coming to a close and soon those offspring of yours will abandon their classrooms and the teachers who have been nudging them along through the world of “readin’, writin, and ‘arithmetic.” And they will be coming home to spend their summer with YOU. Regardless of how you feel about this event, it WILL take place, and now is the time to show the teachershow grateful you are for their continued attempts to pound knowledge into the brains of your adorable progeny.
As the mother of three, yep count em – THREE teachers (first grade, second grade, and middle school) I have witnessed firsthand the time, effort, worry and expense that goes into the teaching profession by it’s members. Yes, teachers work hard and love being appreciated. And what better way to appreciate your teacher than by creating a personal gift. Picaboo has some great products and here are some gift ideas for the teacher in your child’s life.
Personalized Note Cards For Your Child’s Teacher
What teacher wouldn’t love a set of cards personalized just for them? Picaboo makes it easy and fun to create a personalized design for your child’s teacher.Use an actual photo of the teacher or create a cover using school-themed embellishment kits. The possibilities are endless as to what you can create. Adding personalized text is a wonderful touch. Or consider adding an inspiring quote about teachers. I found some great examples here. Order in increments of 10 for your best savings. Prices start at $1.29 for 1-10 cards. Here’s more information on pricing.
A Personalized Calendar For Your Favorite Teacher
Teachers live and die by their calendars. So why not create a beautiful one-of-a-kind calendar for your child’s teacher? You can start your calendar with any month. Be it the first day of summer, the beginning of the next school year or make a traditional Janury to December calendar. The choice is yours! Each month has it’s own photo and you can personalize the days of your calendar with photos and text. Picaboo calendars come in two sizes: Classic 8.5×11 and Premium 11×14. The Premium calendar features laminated, glossy photo pages that give your pictures a little extra pop. I ordered my first Premium Calendar in January of 2012 and I have to say it exceeded my expectations! The Classic Calendar starts at $19.99. Here’s more information on our calendars. And here’s a calendar made by one of our customers that is sure to inspire.

A Thank You Photo Panel For A Special Teacher
Picaboo’s Photo Panels make a lovely gift for any hardworking teacher. And as added bonus, they’re freestanding design means they don’t need a picture frame. Add images, text or embellishments to your custom photo panel. I always love to include inspiration quotes but you could also include a memory or an accomplishment from the year. For instance, if your child learned to read this year because of his/her teacher, why not thank them for their help. This is a lovely and memorable gift that your child’s teacher will truly enjoy. Picaboo’s photo panels start at $14.99. Here’s more information on pricing.
A Collage Poster Featuring A Special School Event
Posters brighten up any classroom. Make your special teacher a collage poster with pictures from events all during the school year. This is a fun way to relive special events at school and also give your child’s teacher a memorable gift they’ll always remember. The great thing about Picaboo collage posters is they can be made in less than 20 minutes! Choose from one of 40 pre-set layouts and then float your images in! Then, pick from three sizes, 8×10, 11×14 and 16×20. Picaboo’s collage posters start at $3.99. Here’s more information on pricing.

Canvas Print
Canvas prints turn pictures into art and they’re loved by everyone! Especially teachers. This is a great way to take a photo from a school event, a watercolor pairing or an image from your teacher’s favorite kids book and turn it into a Canvas Print. You can also add caption boxes to Canvas Prints, which is a nice way to remind your teacher of how much you love them. Canvas Prints start at $34.99 and can be made in under 20 minutes! Here’s more information on pricing.

Teachers can never have enough note cards. My 2 daughters are teachers and this is one of their favorite gifts.
As a parent and teacher…gift cards are nice but also I have taken the time to create a class-only yearbook or a storybook they can put in their classroom library (since I am the one who takes the pictures all year long). Personalized note-cards are also handy. Just my own thoughts.
Notecards are an amazing idea! So are picaboo gift cards!
