I love getting to know each of you through your weekly photos. This week’s theme was one of my favorites! Lifestyle photography is near and dear to my heart. It’s one of the reasons I became a photographer. By sharing your lifestyle photographs this past week, I really got a peek inside of your lives. And, wow, you all have beautiful families, live in such gorgeous places and have such interesting lives. Thank you for sharing that with us!
Without further ado, here’s this week’s 15 Lifestyle Photographs!
1. Terri Mappin – What a great moment to capture! I see photographs like this in my future with my two boys. This photograph follows the rule of thirds nicely. I would have backed up just a tad so that I didn’t chop off the top of the tent. Also, by backing up, it would put some distance between you and your sons giving it a sense of you peeking in on them.
2. Frank Gosselin – I would blow this baby up and hang it on my wall! Too cute! I love the look the little one is giving older brother. If you had the space, I would back up a little to get more of the reflection on the table.
3. Randi Arnar – I am impressed that your son let you take his picture! You used the light coming from the bed lamp nicely to highlight your son.

4. Judy Macedo – Well, I just added a must-take picture to my list! I admire your creativity and vision. It’s amazing how you were able to capture both of their reactions to the bubble. I also like the vibrant colors of this photograph.
5. Susan Padilla – Another photo I would definitely frame and display. Lifestyle photography is all about taking a look at everything that is going on around you. This photo is a great example of that!
6. Ann Scott – This is such a sweet photograph! I am sure a lot of can relate to this photo and may even have a few like it {I know I do!}. This is a keeper!
7. Sherri Schierberl – When I saw this photo, I thought “She’s on a mission.” Lifestyle photography is about telling a story and this one is definitely doing that. What drew my eye in this photo was her reflection in the water.
8. Allison Allan-Harper – This is such a fun photo! I like that you can only see his entire face in the reflection of the slide. Even though the top of his head is cut off a little, I think it works in this photo since you were trying to capture the reflection.
9. Susan Goudge – What a great photo bomb! This little guy was going to make sure he was in the shot, even if it meant that he wasn’t the focus. The great thing about him not being the focal point in this picture is that he is the focal point of the picture!
10. Debbie Marker - What a great moment to capture! This photo will surely be cherished for years to come. I also think that the black and white processing on this is perfect!
11. Joanna Parson - With the temperature being in the single digits here today, this photo really warms me up! Nice use of the rule of thirds and I even see a sun flare in there! Nice job.
12. Monica McGuire – This one makes me think a lot. What is she looking at? What is she thinking about? This photo gives me a feeling of hope and wonder.
13. Jan Sumner – Hard at work! I love the black and white processing on this one. Another one that makes you think about what he is thinking about.
14. Linda Boulger – I love the vantage point on this one and how you were to capture just how small we are in comparison to the world around us. I also like the small hint of sunlight coming from the right side of the photo.
15. Sharon Jurgens – I have so many photos of my oldest in the almost same exact position. Even though you didn’t pose her, the S shape of her body gives the photo some movement, even though she is just lounging on the chair.
Now that you’ve seen them, tell us which photograph is your favorite!

#5 is my favourite, with #4 close behind! All are excellent though.
#2 is priceless. Can’t script those looks! And love #4 too. The timing was perfect lining up the bubble with their expressions. Great job to all 15!
5 is my favorite!!
#2, #5, # 7, #10, and #12…. so hard to chose just one!
Number 2 is my first choice, 5 is 2nd, and 14 gets the bronze. All of them are wonderful and it’s really hard to choose.
All of them are fabulous – how do you manage to choose from all of them? But #2 and #7 really warm my heart. Thanks everyone!
I love #1. I have many fond memories of making tents as a child with my little brother. I love the vibrancy of this photo.
I love #4 bright and fun and I love #9, what are those locks for?
